what in the name?
LAYUNIN /’Lah-You-Nihn’/ means purpose. It translates as one’s mission, goal, and objective. It describes that thing of which you were meant for. It’s a word that we believe exudes, our faith, culture, and character. And for us, our “layunin” is to love and serve.
At LAYUNIN EVENTS, we are driven by our purpose to love and serve others using our God-given gifts and abilities in Wedding Planning. We care for people deeply and we want them to know that they matter. We aim to do this by striving to make our couples feel special, seen and taken care of on their special day. As a former bride and groom ourselves, we understand the significance of every detail of your wedding. From the special songs you picked, to all the sentimental items that’s been personalized to your love story; we know it all matters and we make it our goal to treat and care for your big day as if it were our own. To be entrusted with such a significant part of your lives means a lot to us and it’s not something we take lightly. It’s our hope and prayer that every couple we get to serve find ease in the planning process, find enjoyment in their wedding season and feel special, loved and cared for on their big day.

MEET JEZYROSE
Co-Owner, Principal Wedding Planner & Designer
Hi friend! I’m so excited to meet you :) I think God may have wired me to become a wedding planner. Organization and spread sheets excite me, fine art and design inspire me and serving others fulfills me. At a young age, I witnessed and experienced the stress that came with event planning that I gained a sense of passion in helping others lighten this load so they can truly enjoy their special day. As a hopeless romantic and nurturer at heart, a love towards wedding planning came natural. By the age of 21, I had the honor of planning/coordinating my first wedding and since then, wedding planning and serving others have truly become a part of my DNA.
I started my professional journey in the event industry in 2014 as an executive assistant at a catering and event company, where I had the privilege of becoming one of their in-house wedding coordinators. Later, out of curiosity, I took a pause from wedding planning and pursued a corporate profession in the tech industry where I was given an opportunity to grow my skills in workplace management, culture development and corporate event planning. However, my love for weddings and design never truly ceased. And after much thought and prayers; together with the love and support of my husband, family & friends, I’m so excited to fully embrace my love for wedding planning and officially welcome you to LAYUNIN Events!
MEET DARRYL
Co-Owner, Event Production
Hello, my name is Darryl and I can’t wait to work with you! Most people know me as an all around design and production enthusiast. By day, I’m a UI/UX (graphic) designer and by night I’m an online productions director. I enjoy helping my wife produce effortless events using my gifts and abilities in tech and design. Professionally, creating a great experience is what I do. So whether that’s done digitally or physically, I aim to provide an enjoyable and efficient service.
I love a good puzzle and thrive in situations that need problem solving. I’m an avid learner and for random facts sake: a car enthusiast, a self proclaimed sandwich connoisseur, and a marvel fan. One of my favorite things to do is serve at my church and during my free days, you’ll find me playing video games, making 3D prints, and spending time with my wife. I approach business with honesty, authenticity, and integrity and though I can be a perfectionist, I aim to live life with joy and without stress.
